Shawn McLoughlin, applicant for the crematorium proposed to open in the Clarke Business Park, has filed two lawsuits against Bethel’s Planning and Zoning Commission, according to the News Times.

The commission reversed their decision after nearby business owners and residents threatened to leave town if the plan was approved. They were concerned that the smokestack emissions would be a health threat and drive down property values.
