CT Choral Society Wins Bethel's Non-Profit of the Year Award
The choral ensemble received the award from the Bethel Chamber of Commerce.
The Connecticut Choral Society (CCS) was given the Non-Profit of the Year award by the Bethel Chamber of Commerce at its annual Taste of Bethel event. Jill Heidel, CCS President, accepted the honorary plaque on behalf of the ensemble.
The ensemble is inviting experienced singers (high school and up) to join for the fall season. Singers should have an ability to sing in tune, to blend with other singers, and to read or be able to follow written choral music. Singers should be committed to attending rehearsals, learning music, and participating in an organization of people who love music and singing.
CCS sings a broad repertoire of classical and contemporary music. Musical plans for 2016-2017 include Candlelight and Carols concerts (December 9, 10, and 11), Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 (April 22, with the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra), and two spring concerts (The Poet’s Quill) on May 21st and May 22nd.
