Drunk Bethel Dad Crashes, Leads Cops on Chase With Infant in Car: Police
Police said the man was involved in an accident on the corner of Plumtrees and Walnut Hill Road where they later found his license plate.
A Bethel father who was driving with his 6-month-old baby in the car led police on a chase Wednesday morning, according to a police report.
Randall Krizan, 49, of Deepwood Drive, Bethel, was observed by police driving at a high rate of speed on Plumtrees Road at approximately 11:30 a.m. with heavy front damage to his Jeep.
An eyewitness also observed him driving erratically on Grassy Plain Street in Bethel and called it in to the Bethel Police Department, who were already in pursuit. Bethel police stopped Krizan on Grassy Plain Street and administered field sobriety tests (see photo). He failed the test and was taken into custody. The baby in the car was not hurt and was picked up by a family member.
