Elderly Man Injured In Bethel Altercation, Man Arrested: Police
Police said a Bethel man was charged after a reported altercation left an elderly person with minor injuries.
BETHEL, CT — An elderly man was injured in a reported altercation in Bethel and a worker was arrested, according to police.
Bethel police arrested a 40-year-old man who was charged with third-degree assault of an elderly person and disorderly conduct.
The incident happened April 16 on Henry Street, where the victim reported that an employee shoved him to the ground, according to police. Police said the victim suffered minor injuries and was transported to Danbury Hospital for medical care.

Officers located the man and placed him under arrest.
Police also reported that, while the man was in custody, a Crisis Intervention trained officer conducted a mental health evaluation. It was determined that further crisis intervention action was necessary.

He was processed on the charges and released on a promise to appear on April 24 at 9:30 a.m. at Danbury Superior Court. according to police.
