5K War Memorial Tribute Run

Overview: NO WATER STATIONS (Untill the finish line), STEEP HILL CLIMB for first mile of course.

This is a tribute run to memorialize all fallen war heroes that paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Proceeds to support the American Legion Post 100 Scholarship Fund

Course Information: Starting at the Bethel Municipal Center crosswalk, 1 School Street, toward P.T. Barnum Square and ending at the cross walk on School Street closest to the Municipal Center.

The course will head up Main Street; runners will pass by the Bethel VFW, take a right on Chestnut Street and a left at the light heading up Greenwood Ave and continue up Hoyts Hill and up Governors Lane.

THIS IS NOT A SMALL HILL! (270 Foot Climb for the first mile)

At the 1 mile mark all runners will grab a POW/MIA flagand head back down Governors Lane and Hoyts Hill returning to Greenwood Avenue and taking a left onto Nashville Rd, than a right onto South Street then turning left into the Veterans Memorial Cemetery (permission pending) continuing past the monument and continuing around the cemetery loop staying to the Left.

Runner will re-enter South Street taking a left out of the cemetery then following South St. onto Blackman Ave then turning right onto Elizabeth Street bringing all runners past the Joseph W. Tarrant Memorial American Legion Post 100 Hall. This will mark the 2.9 mile mark. 

Runners will take a left onto Front Street, a right onto Greenwood Ave, a left on Library Place and a right onto School Street to the finish line at 3.1 miles (5K)
