Bethel Land Trust Hike to Ivy Forest Preserve

Can you spot poison ivy?  Or tell the difference between a maple and an oak?  Do you know what tree baseball bats were made from?  We'll have Paul Young along, a plantsman with decades of experience, to help you and your children learn about the natural world. We'll also have "Master Gardener" Ingrid McCauley along to share her knowledge.

Meet at 2:00 pm at the end of Ballfield Road, which is off Maple Ave just before it turns into Plumtrees Rd.  Wear pants and boots, because there is poison ivy.  Bring a clipboard with pencil to record your "finds."  We'll also have a game to play with your children.

In the event of rain, check the Bethel Land Trust Facebook page.  We'll post a "go/no-go" about 12:30.
