The 2nd annual Hoops for Hope wheelchair basketball game will be held at Danbury High School on Thursday, October 21st at 7pm.
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month. Hoops for Hope, sponsored by Ability Beyond Disability and Danbury High School, will help raise funds and awareness about employment for people with disabilities.
A team of local "celebrities" will include Lou Milano from i95; Mr. Morning from Kicks 105.5; Shawn Palmer from the News Times and Ridgefield First Selectman, Rudy Marconi. This team of amateurs will take on the Connecticut Spokebenders, a professional wheelchair basketball team. Last year the Spokebenders tore up the court, leaving the amateurs in the dust.
