Indian Cooking Made Simple

In this course, students will learn to make authentic Indian vegetarian dishes made in simple and healthy ways.  The first class will include basic information on the different spices that are commonly used in most Indian cooking, as well as a brief background on different types of food found in various parts of India.  This session will also include a hands-on demonstration of appetizers and Indian bread commonly found in Indian restaurants.  The second session will include the method of making curry(s) and different types of Northern Indian main course dishes along with an easy and simple dessert.  Both sessions include hands-on demonstration and sampling of all dishes.  Students will be given samples of authentic spices to make their own Indian delight in the comfort of their home.  There is a $15 supply fee payable to the instructor the first night of class.  15 students/2 classes  Class if for adults.
