he 13th Annual Ralph J. DeSantis Memorial Golf Tournament to benefit Bethel High School sports and its athletes returns to Oxford Greens Golf Club on Monday, June 27, 2011. Registration begins at 12:30 and the shotgun start is at 2:00 PM. A box lunch will be provided and dinner, prizes, and the raffle will follow the conclusion of the round.
Thanks to the money raised in sponsorship and golf participation fees at last year’s event, we were able to distribute $10,000 in Ralph DeSantis’ scholarships to athletes in the class of 2010. With your help we plan on doing the same for the class of 2011.
In addition to the scholarships, your contributions allowed us to continue our efforts to upgrade the weight room and exercise areas, purchase new banners for our State Champion Soccer team, provide transportation to over 100 students to the State Championship game in soccer, and much more.
This year, we are happy to announce that the ASBC will also be supporting the newly formed Bethel High School Athletics Hall of Fame. We are also very sensitive to the economic climate, so this year we have elected to hold your cost toparticipate to last year’s fee (after decreasing it the year before).
