Presented by Kelly Mullins, Prevention Educator for the Women’s Center, including ACT OUT, the interactive, educational theater troupe.
This lively and interactive workshop is designed to help parents and educators understand the dynamics of bullying and harassment. We will present concrete strategies and techniques for dealing with “mean behaviors” and bullying. Parents will learn how to talk to their children, recognize warning signs and practice anti- bullying role-plays. This workshop recognizes bullying as a societal problem in need of parents, educators and students working together.
Bullying is now considered a national epidemic with over 3 million kids being bullied each year. One in 3 kids in middle and high school are bullied on a regular basis.
