An Evening of Musical Magic

Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet to Perform Friday at Lasdon Park

What could be more magical than a beautiful summer evening? The setting sun, fireflies alight at twilight, soft breezes wafting the rich scents of the living earth… and the sonorous sounds of virtuoso brass filling the air!

That’s right, virtuoso brass! Join the RSO Brass Quintet as the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra returns to Lasdon Park’s “Music in the Park Series on Friday, July 24, at 6:30 pm.

Performing a potpourri of light classical and popular favorites, the RSO Brass Quintet’s program will be sure to please all musical tastes. Led by Principal Trumpet John Charles Thomas, member of the GRAMMY winning Chestnut Brass, the five members of the quintet have performed internationally with some of the world’s great orchestras as well as in the “pit” for numerous Broadway shows.

Admission to the concert is only $5.00; beer, wine, food, varied snacks and ice cream will be available throughout the evening. Gates open at 5:30 pm; bring your blanket, lawn chairs, or grab a table around the patio. Kick back, relax and enjoy world-class music by our very own musicians of the RSO!
