BETHEL, CT — Emergency crews responded when a garbage truck caught fire Wednesday.

Members of the Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company and Bethel Fire & EMS tackled the blaze on Nashville Road Ext at Canaan Drive.

Fire officials said the content of the truck was emptied onto the road and the fire quickly extinguished.
