First Selectman Releases Updated Road Paving Schedule

Due to delays in scheduling contractors, some of Bethel's planned road work has been delayed.

First Selectman Matt Knickerbocker told Patch Thursday that over the past two months, Bethel’s highway superintendent has had some challenges with scheduling contractors. Due to their work loads, contractors have at times been forced to postpone jobs scheduled in Bethel to later dates.

“ We still expect to get all of the work committed done before December, however, there have been some delays. But so far they have been minor,” Knickerbocker said.

“Things are humming along quite nicely now. Let’s just pray we do not have any hurricanes!”
