'Greatest Estate Sale on Earth' To Be Held at P.T. Barnum's Birth Home
Thousands of items with ties to the legendary P.T. Barnum will be sold in Bethel this weekend. The organizers expect a large crowd.
BETHEL, CT — An estate sale featuring countless items with ties to the legendary showman P.T. Barnum as well as the Local English Drug Store will be held at Barnum's birth home in Bethel.
According to the Windy Cats Estate Sales Facebook Page, the company who's organizing the sale, the sale will be held Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sale will feature antique furniture, P.T. Barnum phemerea, vintage apothecary from the Local English Drug Store.
The organizers are expecting thousands of people to travel to Bethel to experience the sale.

According to a report fromthe News Times, the English Drug store was a staple of the Bethel Community for many years, and the sale will offer an opportunity for residents to buy a piece of Bethel's history.
The sale was originally set to open Thursday, but was cancelled due to inclement weather. The sale will be held at 55 Greenwood Avenue, located near Carluzzi's Market off Rte. 302.
