Holiday Bazaar -2015 (WCGNM)
Saturday, Dec 5 2015: 10am-2pm United Methodist Church, 68 Danbury Rd, New Milford
On Dec 5, 2015, the Woman’s Club of Greater New Milford will be holding their first annual Holiday Bazaar. The event focuses on young children, allowing them to purchase holiday gifts for their family members. Children and their will have the opportunity to purchase tickets at the door to exchange for gifts. Gifts will generally be in range in value from $1-5. Gift wrapping services will be provided for their purchases. We will have personal shoppers to help the children shop.
As well as the children friendly area, local vendors with unique and handcrafted items will be available for parents to shop at while their children are picking out gifts. WCGNM will also be providing an array of goodies and lunch items for children and their parents to purchase during the event. There will even be a table with baked goods that participants can take home for all of those holiday parties.
The event will take place at the United Methodist Church, 68 Danbury Rd, New Milford, CT. The event begins at 10am and will continue until 2pm, with lunch being served throughout the event.

Our organization: WCGNM is part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. Collectively, we are Living the Volunteer Spirit through raising funds and supporting projects throughout our local community. All of our programs are funded through donations, volunteering, and fundraising efforts of the club. Each year we distribute funds to well over a dozen other non-profit organizations including the Youth Agency, Summer Reading programs, local animal shelters, and other programs within the community. Our primary purpose is to fund at least 2 scholarships yearly that are based on community service and volunteerism. The WCGNM is responsible for events such as The Teddy Bear festival, now in its 20th year (2016), the Fourth of July Cake, Thanksgiving Baskets where we provide Thanksgiving meals for over 200 families each year! We also fundraise through other projects such as the Haunted Trail, Bake Sales, Penny Plus Auctions, Little Black Dress Fashion show and a variety of other projects.
