Juvenile Arrested After Bethel Car Chase: PD

BETHEL, CT — Officers arrested a juvenile after a car chase, crash and foot pursuit near the Danbury town line, according to police.

A patrol officer noticed a vehicle with a loud exhaust around 5 a.m. Feb. 28. An officer tried to stop the vehicle after seeing it on the wrong side of the road, but it fled the scene.

The vehicle crashed on Route 53 and Bethel Police called in Danbury and State Police for help after the juvenile fled on foot. The juvenile arrestee was eventually located at a nearby residence and was arrested on an unrelated active arrest warrant.
