Kobe Is Looking For His Forever Home
Kobe the Dog, a Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua mix, is available for adoption at Danbury Animal Welfare Society
Meet Kobe! This adorable 5 year old Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua mix is looking for his forever home, and is available for adoption at Danbury Animal Welfare Society. He is sure to make a wonderful addition to an adult-only home. Kobe loves to run and play outside, sniffing and exploring everywhere he goes. Kobe is quite the smarty-pants, and works very hard for his treats. He is also a puzzle genius! He has quite his own fan club among the staff and volunteers at DAWS, especially for the ways he has come out of his shell and truly blossoming. Who doesn’t love an “underdog” who comes out on top?
One of his biggest fans is Dog Program Chair, Sue Ashworth. Sue explains, “I love Kobe’s playfulness, his sharp mind, and the way he relaxes his whole body when I talk to him. He’s come a long way from the cranky, distant dog who first came in. He now likes to be scratched and pet...and even asks for attention! I’ve seen him, just recently, make the rounds in the greeting room. Kobe went up to complete strangers across the room, greeting each one! He even played with them for a bit! What a transformation!”
If you are interested in adopting Kobe, come meet him during our Open House hours, Monday - Friday from 6-8, and Saturday and Sunday from 2-4. DAWS is located at 147 Grassy Plain Street, in Bethel. Even if you are unable to adopt Kobe, but see that spark in his eye that we do, you can still help! Share his story, and tell your family and friends about him! Thank you, from all the human and four-legged friends here at DAWS!
