Suspect in Custody Following Bethel Homicide: UPDATE

BETHEL, CT — A suspect is in custody following a homicide in Bethel, police said Tuesday,

"On November 11, 2019, Bethel Police responded to Apollo Road after a resident returned home and found her son deceased, reporting that she believed he had committed suicide. Upon police arrival, it was determined that the death was a result of a homicide and a suspect was quickly identified," Capt. Stephen M. Pugner said.

"The suspect was promptly located and determined to be in the custody of the New Milford Police Department as a result of crimes committed in their town earlier in the day.

"The suspect remains in the custody of New Milford Police and charges related to the Bethel homicide are pending."

Neither the name of the suspect nor the victim has been released.
