Latest Bethel Coronavirus Updates: 29 Confirmed Cases

Since Saturday, an additional 469 Connecticut residents tested positive​ for the new coronavirus, bringing the total to 1,993 cases.

BETHEL, CT — The state Department of Public Health has confirmed there are 29 cases of the new coronavirus in the Town, as of Sunday evening.

Since Saturday, an additional 469 Connecticut residents tested positive for the virus, bringing the total to 1,993 cases across the state, state officials said. Thirty-four people have died. One additional death was reported on Sunday. A total of 404 people have been hospitalized, and more than 11,900 Connecticut residents have been tested.

Gov. Ned Lamont announced he was notified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency that his request for a Major Disaster Declaration for the State of Connecticut in response to the COVID-19 pandemic has been approved, unlocking additional federal assistance programs for the state.
