LETTER: Bethel Resident Endorses Allie-Brennan

To The Editor:

It is with great confidence that I recommend Raghib Allie-Brennan for State Representative in the 2nd District. Electing Raghib will give residents something not easily found amongst those running for office. Electing him will give residents someone who will dedicate himself to representing OUR various needs every day in Hartford where the toughest discussions are held and the big decisions are made. Raghib has a great deal to offer the Connecticut state legislature. His tremendous policy knowledge in areas such as public education, business development and renewable energy make him a strong advocate for our schools. He is a candidate who can offer the practical knowledge we need to a repair a struggling economy, and he is also someone who will fight hard to help our state reduce the high cost of electricity that too often creates hardship for small businesses and the many CT families living on a strict budget and/or limited income. Raghib is not afraid to speak up and do what is right for this District. He's realistic, solution-focused, and will consistently listen and respond to what individuals and families feel they need most. He will truly fight for what is best for our communities.

As the Chairperson for The Bethel Community Cares Coalition I have had many discussions with Raghib about the opioid crisis thousands of residents are dealing with every day. I look forward to there being a strong, committed voice for the 2nd District up in Hartford and plan to work closely with him as he challenges others to make this crisis a priority. With people like Raghib fighting this crisis we will make much greater strides in battling the disease of addiction here in CT.

Raghib is both intelligent and motivated as well as kind and filled with compassion for others. I am proud to have him as a role model for my son as well as call him my friend. He is the right person for this position and I hope you will join me in voting for him November 6th.
