Maya is a sweet one-and-a-half year old Blue Heeler looking to find her lifelong home with people who love and respect her. She is a great dog who needs your patience and understanding, but the payoff will be huge. Maya is a bit on the shy side, and needs time to get to know you, but once she does, she will show her gratitude with love and affection. She has a lot of great qualities - she is very smart and just started going to an agility class to build her confidence! Maya would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy children, and loved ones who will help her when she is nervous. Once she is feeling safe and secure in her new home, Maya will love you like no other.
Maya is available for adoption through the Danbury Animal Welfare Society. DAWS is located at 147 Grassy Plain Street in Bethel, CT. If you are interested in adopting Maya, come meet her during our Open House hours, Monday through Friday from 6-8 and Saturday and Sunday from 2-4.
