Members of Northern Fairfield County Association of Realtors (NFCAR) hosted a "Fill-A-Truck" event recently in support of Housatonic Habitat for Humanity’s mission of building work-force affordable housing locally in southwestern Connecticut.

According to Richard Eimicke, NFCAR Executive Director, "This is our annual donation drive which encourages the 650 members of our association to work with communities in both Fairfield and Litchfield Counties to support the local Habitat organization." NFCAR's association with Housatonic Habitat spans more than two years and includes a quarterly "Lunch & Learn" lecture services and numerous volunteer activities.

Fill-A-Truck is a donation drive for new and slightly used household items, furniture and building materials donated to Housatonic Habitat's ReStore thrift warehouse at 51 Austin Street, Danbury. Sales from the thrift store support the creation of work-force housing in the region and provide repair services which help seniors age in place. To donate, call 203-744-1340 x103 or email pictures of items to donations@housatonichabitat.org.
