Man Charged With Operating Under the Influence in Bethel

Bethel Police received a complaint on Sept. 3 of a driver operating his vehicle erratically on Route 53 heading northbound.

When officers located the vehicle, they observed the car swerving in its lane, according to the police report. They pulled over Benjamin Hagendoorn, 25, of Danbury, and conducted a field sobriety test. Officers arrested Hagendoorn on Sept. 3 at approximately 10:48 p.m. and charged him with Operating Under the Influence.

Hagendoorn was taken to the Bethel Police Department and released on a $100 bond He was given a court date of Sept. 10, 2015.
