Man And Woman Identified In Bethel Murder-Suicide
The state Chief Medical Examiner has identified the couple found dead in a home on Reservoir Street near Route 53 in Bethel.
BETHEL, CT — The state Chief Medical Examiner has identified the couple found dead in a home on Reservoir Street near Route 53.
Traci-Marie Jones, 52, was the victim of a homicide and Lester Jones, 58, took his own life. Both died of gunshot wounds, according to a report from the CME's Office.
Public records show the two married in 1999, and that Tracie-Marie Jones obtained a restraining order against Lester Jones on Jan. 24.

The Bethel Police Department responded to a complaint regarding yelling coming from a home on Reservoir Street near Route 53 at 11:49 p.m Tuesday. First responders found the couple suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, and began treating them, but pronounced the woman dead at the residence, police said. The Medical Examiner's Office said Traci-Marie Jones died from gunshot wounds to the head and trunk.
Her husband was taken to Danbury Hospital, where he was also pronounced dead, from a gunshot wound to the head.
