The Bethel School District recognizes the important connection between student success and family engagement. The District’s Parent University was established two years ago to increase parental engagement and to contribute to the academic and social-emotional success of our school children.
The goals of Parent University include: providing support for families so they may achieve personal academic and non-academic goals; providing parents and families with the necessary resources to support their children’s emotional growth and development; and increasing the number of parents who feel positively connected to their child’s school.

The 2015 edition of Parent University is scheduled on Feb. 25 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at Bethel Middle School 600 Whittlesey Drive Bethel Educational Park. The snow date for the event is March 4.

Parent University 2015 offers families, moms and dads alike, and caregivers a variety of free classes and workshops. The sessions are designed to add to existing skills, provide opportunities for additional growth and development, positively contribute to children’s academic and socialemotional success.
Additionally, Parent University 2015 provides parents and caregivers the opportunity to gain a better understanding about what their children are learning and become a full partner in their children’s education.
