Ladies and Gentlemen, meet Chico! This lovable, kissable hound dog is available for adoption at the Danbury Animal Welfare Society. Chico is kind of a big deal. Whether you’re looking for a hiking buddy or just a pup for neighborhood strolls, Chico is happy to oblige. He also loves car rides and enjoys visiting local stores and businesses, making friends wherever he goes. Chico gets along great with other dogs, and has a gentle touch with children. We all have our little foibles, and Chico’s happens to be those of the feline persuasion, but don’t hold that against this incredible guy.
Chico has proven himself to be an incredibly fast learner. Those who have met Chico have a hard time believing this dog with the great leash manners had to learn the whole leash thing from scratch. When Chico arrived at DAWS, he had never been walked on a leash before, and confused a leash with something he needed to carry in his mouth. Learning to walk on a leash was one of Chico’s initial training goals, and boy did he ever exceed it! He nails his other training goals just as quickly, and at this rate, will be solving Quantum Physics problems very soon.
Chico has all the promise in the world to excel at whatever the next chapter of his life has in store, and will surely fill his adopter’s heart and home with sweetness and love.
