In Memory of Francisco S. Rocha, 79, of Brookfield
The Brazilian born Brookfield resident passed away on Dec. 1, 2015.

Francisco S. Rocha, 79, of Brookfield, husband of Maria Izabel (deMenezes) Rocha, died at his home on Tuesday, December 1, 2015.
Mr. Rocha was born in Pombal, Paraiba, Brazil, September 1, 1936, a son of Severino and Isaura (Santana) Rocha.
He attended schools in Brazil and operated an auto parts store in Brazil prior to his retirement.

An area resident for the past nine and one-half years coming from Brazil, he was a member of the Brazilian Catholic Community of St. Peter Parish, Danbury.
Respected and liked by many for his social spirit and wit, he enjoyed the time spent together with his friends and most especially, his family. He will be sorely missed.

In addition to his wife of forty five years, he is survived by a son, Francisco “Junior” Rocha and his wife, Kellen of Danbury; four daughters, Monica Bates and her husband, Kevin of Danbury, Cristiane Trohalis and her husband, Mark, Fernanda O’Shea of Brookfield and Susan Goncalves and her husband, Jay of Stratford; four brothers; three sisters; ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Peter Church, 121 Main St., Danbury. Interment will take place in Pombal, Paraiba, Brazil.
The family received friends on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury.
