In Memory of Linda Smart, 92, Former Bethel Resident

Linda Virginia Smart , age 92 of Southern Pines NC, formerly of Brookfield and Bethel died on March 11, 2016, at Penick Village in Southern Pines NC.

Linda was born November 1, 1923 in Long Island City, NY, the daughter of the late John and Amalia (Acerbo) Albini. She was raised and educated in Astoria, NY, starting her secretarial career at Macmillan Publishers. While residing in CT Linda was employed with radio stations WINE and WRKI in Brookfield, as well as a secretary in the Engineering Dept. of the Heli-Coil Corporation for several years. She enjoyed reading and traveling; especially to casinos with her brother and sister in her spare time.

Linda is survived by her daughter: Lois Smart of Whispering Pine NC, two sons: William Smart and his wife Barbara of Whispering Pines NC, and Charles Smart and his wife Joanne of Brookfield, one sister: Wanda Emond of Brookfield, two brothers: Aldo Albini of New Jersey and John Albini of Danbury, two grandchildren, Charlie and Sadie, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday March 17th at 10:00am in Saint Joseph Church, Brookfield. Burial will follow in the Central Cemetery, Brookfield.

The family received friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield on Wednesday March 16.
