New Access Western CT Website Promotes Economic Development
The website highlights Danbury, Bethel, Redding, Ridgefield, Newtown, Brookfield, Sherman, New Milford, Bridgewater and New Fairfield.

The Western Connecticut Economic Development Alliance (WCEDA) announced the launch of a new website that promotes the Greater Danbury area’s attributes, resources and advantages for businesses looking to expand or relocate.
AccessWesternCT.com gives businesses and entrepreneurs information about the region’s work force, transportation and lifestyle.
Ten towns are covered in the economic area for the website including Danbury, Bethel, Redding, Ridgefield, Newtown, Brookfield, Sherman, New Milford, Bridgewater and New Fairfield.
According to WCEDA Chairman Hal Kurfehs, “The purpose of the website is to sell the Western Connecticut region as a whole, but also to provide a portal to each of the municipalities in the region.” Kurfehs also adds that “the ‘Community Partners’ tab allows an interested business to access websites of each municipality in the region for more detailed examination of their particular strengths.”
The website notes that 24/7 Wall Street ranked the City of Danbury #2 nationwide for livability in 2015 due to low unemployment and crime, good schools, excellent transportation options, affordable real estate and numerous amenities.
