BETHEL, CT — A new grocery store has opened on Greenwood Avenue in Bethel, across the street from the Sycamore Drive-In.

After more than a year of renovations, the 14,000 square foot La Placita Bethel Market is now operating from the space formerly occupied by Caraluzzi’s Wine & Spirits. That establishment recently moved to a new building alongside Carluzzi's Bethel Market, just down Greenwood Avenue.

On social media, the store touted its fresh produce, meat service, fish service, hot foods, deli, and bakery, along with a wide variety of every day and international groceries.
