During WWII, Elizabeth worked for Grumman Aircraft Co as a riveter on the Grumman Wildcat assembly line, and was recognized by the Navy Dept. for the high quality of Grumman production. Again in 1945, the Navy Department officially recognized the worlds record for the greatest number of fighters produced in one plant in one month and awarded the Navy "E" with the accumulated five stars. Elizabeth was part of this recognized war effort and in commemoration of these records and as evidence of faithful and patriotic service, a "Certificate of Commendation" was presented to her on September 2, 1945.
Services will be private and in lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donation be made to your local animal shelter in Elizabeth's name.
