Obituary: Francesco S. 'Frank' Tomaino, 86, of Danbury
A longtime Danbury resident, Frank was a parishioner of Saint Joseph Church and a member of the Amerigo Vespucci Lodge #160.

DANBURY, CT — Francesco S. “Frank” Tomaino, age 86 of Danbury, died on Tuesday, Aug. 22 at Filosa for Nursing and Rehabilitation, Danbury.
Frank was born Feb. 1, 1937, in Calabria, Italy, son of the late Giuseppe and Clementina (Esposito) Tomaino. He emigrated to the United States at age 23, where he worked as a mechanic for a local school bus company, and later as a machinist with the American Can Co.

A longtime Danbury resident, Frank made his home with his sisters Anna and Angelina. He was a parishioner of Saint Joseph Church, Danbury, and was a member of the Amerigo Vespucci Lodge #160 in Danbury. He enjoyed gardening, playing bocce, and card playing.
Frank is survived by his sisters Anna Tomaino and Lidia Di Cello, both of Danbury along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Angelina Tomaino.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Monday, Aug. 28 at Saint Joseph Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in Saint Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
Friends will be received at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury on Monday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
