Obituary: Leonard Robert Crooks Jr., 83, of Bethel
Bob loved life, his family and traveling. He had a quick wit, an infectious smile, baby blue eyes and a great belly laugh.

BETHEL, CT — On Tuesday, December 4, 2018, "Bob" Leonard Robert Crooks Jr., loving father of two daughters, passed away at the age of 83 with them by his side.
Born in Yonkers, NY on Nov. 18, 1935 to Leonard and Elsa Crooks, Bob grew up in Eastchester, NY where he later became the town's favorite soda jerk. Bob served in the Army in Panama and later returned to Eastchester purchasing the store that would become known as "Bob's," a place many in the 60s and 70s would go to get candy, comics, or sit over a cup of coffee and shoot the breeze. He loved to listen to stories from all that came into his store.B
Bob loved life, his family and traveling between NY, CT and FL. He had a quick wit, an infectious smile, baby blue eyes and a great belly laugh. His pride and joy were his daughters and grandchildren.

He is survived by his favorite first born, Debbie McLiverty of Fishkill, NY and his favorite second born, Linda Frischkorn (Tim) of Bethel, as well as 5 grandchildren, Brandy Hughes, Jake McLiverty (Jen), Sean McLiverty (Mary), Stephen Higgins (Brittany) and Rachael McLiverty. They all adored their Pop-Pop and will cherish their memories of him. In addition he had three great-grandchildren, Lilly, Kerrigan and Jack.
The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Maplewood at Stony Hill for caring and loving "Poor Bob" for the last six years, and Regional Hospice of Danbury for their support.
