Obituary: Leslie (Les) Swallow, 81, Formerly Of Bethel
Les served as a past president and vice president of the Bethel Softball Association and coached the Bethel Rebels softball team for years.

BETHEL, CT — Leslie (Les) Swallow, age 81 of Danbury, (formerly of Bethel) passed away on June 6, 2023.
He was born in Greenwich, and was a graduate of Greenwich High School. Les was employed by Stop and Shop Co. for 50 years. He served as a past president and vice president of the Bethel Softball Association and coached the Bethel Rebels softball team for years. Les loved the New York Yankees and attended Yankees Spring Training camp every year, most with his son Scott. He was also an avid follower of UCONN Women’s Basketball.

He is survived by his son Scott Swallow (Saryna Jones) of Woodbury, daughters Kim Swallow of Woodbury, Jennifer Torpey (Art Apgar) of Brookfield, and Amy Main of Danbury, 11 grandchildren (who were the loves of his life) Matthew (Daniela) and Marissa Rosado, Gabriella and Gretchen Main, Macauley and Camden Torpey, Carter and Reece Apgar, and Dean, Alyna and Evan Jones. Les also leaves his sisters-in-law Michelina Hoelzle, Sylvia Curcuruto and Carole Curcuruto of FL and brother-in-law Tony Curto of Rosendale, NY. Les was predeceased by his spouse of 55 years, Nancy-Jo, his parents Walter and Christine Swallow, brothers Walter and George and sister Kay.
There are no services per Les’ request. Interment private. Donations to the Children's Tumor Foundation (370 Lexington Ave, NY, NY 10017) are appreciated.
