Obituary: Patricia Cotter Shean, 80, Of Bethel

Pat was a past member of the Bethel Women's Club and served two terms as co-president.

BETHEL, CT —Patricia Cotter Shean, 80, of Bethel beloved wife of Donald J. Shean, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2022.

Pat was born December 8, 1941 the daughter of the late Fred and Anna (Murry) Cotter and was predeceased by her sister Anna Mae Newman. She was raised in Mamaroneck, NY and attended Holy Trinity Grammar School and was a graduate of St. Gabriel High School New Rochelle, NY class of 1960.

Pat and Donald were married in 1973 and moved to Bethel in 1976. She had a long career with the Krus Thompson organization in Mamaroneck and Millwood, NY. She then was employed as the office manager of Jerry Alper Inc. in Eastchester, NY until her retirement in 2004.

Pat was a past member of the Bethel Women’s Club and served two terms as co-president. A longtime parishioner of St. Mary Church, she served a number of years as a member of the Bereavement Hospitality Committee and member of the Altar Society.

Besides her husband, survivors include her niece Christal Simmons and her husband Raymond, and their daughter Trisha Massaro and husband Joseph, and their children, Jenna, Kendra and Rian all of Ansonia, and her nephew John Neuman of New Haven. She is also survived by family members Robert and Rochelle Williston of Redding and their sons Patrick, Bryce and Quinn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 9 at St. Mary Church, Bethel. A private burial will be held at a later date in St. Mary Cemetery, Bethel.

The family will receive friends at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury on Monday, August 8 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
