Obituary: Ruth-Ellen (Markosky) Hunt, 82, Of Bethel

BETHEL, CT — Ruth-Ellen (Markosky) Hunt, age 82 of Bethel, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. She was born August 3, 1940 in New Milford, to the late Frank and Mary (Gereg) Markosky.

Ruth Ellen was a graduate of Saint Peter School, Danbury High School 1958, and the University of Connecticut. She taught in the Business Department at Danbury High School for 36 years.

Ruth-Ellen is survived by her sister, Anne-Marie Bouteiller and her husband Roger Bouteiller of Newtown, her nephew Matthew Bouteiller and his wife Leah Skypeck, her niece Katherine-Ellen Bouteiller and her husband Sean McCormick, and her great niece Esmé Bouteiller, all of Vermont.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 1:15pm on Tuesday, August 1 at Saint Peter Church, Danbury. Burial followed in Saint Peter Cemetery, Danbury.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ruth-Ellen’s name are requested to be made to the Danbury High School Scholarship Fund.
