Panty Thief Stole, Then Damaged Underwear From Bethel Home: Police
Police said the Monroe man admitted to stealing the underwear, damaging them and then returning them to the home.

The Bethel Police Department recently released a report that a 50-year-old Monroe man broke into a Bethel home to steal five undergarments.
Nelson Montavo was charged on Oct. 30 with five felony counts in the March incident, according to the police report.
Police said Montavo admitted to stealing the underwear, damaging them and then returning them to the home.
Montavo turned himself in and was charged with 3rd Degree Burglary, 5th Degree Larceny, 3rd Degree Criminal Mischief and 2nd Degree Breach of Peace.
He was released on a $2,500 bond and had a court date of Nov. 2.
