The Pizza Joint is Jumpin' with Sunday Night Jazz

Bethel, Conn. (Sept 1, 2015) - Due to unforeseen schedule changes, Ralph Lalama with the Roger Post Trio will now be performing on Sunday, Sept. 13 at the Pizzeria Lauretano jazz series.

Ralph Lalama is a solid fixture of the New York jazz scene and respected world-wide. The tenor saxophonist is a three-time Grammy winner through his work in the Joe Lovano Nonet and with the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, with whom he plays regularly at the Village Vanguard in New York City. Mr. Lalama has worked with many jazz luminaries including Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, Mel Torme, Carmen McRae, and Joe Morello. He is also an adjunct professor of jazz at New York University.

This will be Mr. Lalama’s first performance at Pizzeria Lauretano. Joining him will be the talented young pianist Josh Sette, leading Connecticut bassist Rich Zurkowski, and popular Pizzeria performer Roger Post on drums. Mr. Lalama will return on Sunday, Sept 27 to perform with his wife, vocalist Nicole Pasternak, in a tribute to Billie Holiday.

Ray Blue, formerly scheduled for Sept 13, has had to reschedule as he leaves earlier than planned for a European tour. He is tentatively rescheduled at the Pizzeria on Jan 10, 2016.
