The Polls are Open in Bethel
Bethel residents have until 8 p.m. tonight to make their voices heard on the proposed 0.48 percent proposed tax hike.

BETHEL, CT --- The polls are open until 8 p.m. today for Bethel residents to vote on the $74.9 million operating budget and $2.3 million capital budget.
The proposed operating budget would raise taxes by 0.48 percent, and increase spending by 2.8 percent. New line items in 2018-19 include funds for road repair, a police officer and the Senior Center.
At 1 p.m., turnout was at 8.5 percent according to the News-Times.
