Public Hearing On $92.2M Bethel Budget Is Tuesday
The $92.2 million budget proposal allocates just under 37.5 million for the municipal operations and $54.7 million to the schools.
BETHEL, CT — The Board of Finance will host a public hearing on Tuesday, March 19 at 7 p.m. at the Bethel High School auditorium for community input on the 2024-25 annual budget.
The $92.2 million budget proposal allocates just under 37.5 million for the municipal operations and $54.7 million to the schools. The total proposed town budget reflects a 3.95 percent increase over the current budget, from increases of 5.37 percent and 3.99 percent in municipal and school operations, respectively.
The Board of Finance will consider revisions and recommend the budget to the Town Meeting for a vote on April 4. The budget will then go to a referendum machine vote on April 23.
