Rep. Dan Carter: 'Don't Forget the Tots This Holiday Season!'

DANBURY – With the holiday season upon us, many are looking for ways to help children in need in our community. If you are in a position to make a donation, Rep. Dan Carter (R-2) asks you to please remember the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program as a wonderful way to make a difference.

The goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them into becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens. The program generally supports children up to the age of 12, but some local campaigns may be able to accept items suitable for 14-16 year olds.

Cash donations are also accepted in the form of credit cards and checks. To donate by credit card, click on the “Donate Online” tab on the Toys for Tots website at ridgefield-ct.toysfortots.org/. To donate by check, please may it payable to Marine Toys for Tots Foundation and mail it to:

Individual families requesting toys this year can do so at a charitable organization such as your town’s Social Services Department, Family and Children’s Aid, a church or other 501(c)(3) organizations. Most agencies and charities will require that you provide a copy of your child’s birth certificate, proof of residency in the area and some other form to establish need.
