Rep. David Scribner Gives Citations at Western Connecticut State University's 2014 Entrepreneur of the Year Award

DANBURY - Rep. David Scribner (R-107) last week honored Tom Montague and John Royce, founders of Elegant Banquets, for their exceptional entrepreneurship in Connecticut. The company owns and operates four of the most popular private catering and wedding venues in the state: Fox Hill Inn, Candlewood Inn, The Waterview of Monroe and The Riverview of Simsbury. The pair also donates services to nonprofits such as Regional Hospice and Home Care of Western Connecticut, The Women’s Center of Greater Danbury, and Interval House (a domestic abuse prevention facility in Hartford).

“Congratulations to this year’s deserving recipients!” said Rep. David Scribner (R-107). “It’s the hard work, collaboration, and dedication such as yours that gives Connecticut’s economy a fighting chance in the competitive business market it operates in today.”

The Constantine S. Macricostas Entrepreneur of the Year award luncheon was held at the Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury, CT on October 15th.
