Four students from St. Mary School were selected for the prestigious CT Science & Engineering Fair taking place this week at Quinnipiac University. The CT Science & Engineering Fair is a yearly, statewide science and engineering fair open to all 7th through 12th grade students residing, or enrolled, in Connecticut schools. An important objective of the program is to attract young people to careers in science and engineering while developing skills essential to critical thinking. The St. Mary students and their projects are:

William Tucker - 8th grade: "Sustainability by the Spoonful" which tested whether a biodegradable spoon could be made out of common plant-based materials.

Allesandra Campolo - 8th grade: "Can You Recycle Styrofoam?"
