St. Mary School's 'Krampus in Candy Land' Play Addresses Bullying
The play follows Krampus, fairies, minions, toy soldiers and other "misfits" as they embark on a quest to find out where they fit in best.

Saint Mary School is proud to present an original play called “Krampus in Candy Land.”
Krampus, a creature from ancient German folklore, tries everything to ruin a friend’s birthday after she and her party guests bully him for being different. He sets off on a journey and meets a Sugarplum Fairy Princess who grants him three wishes. Magic unfolds as he embarks on his quest to Candy Land to find his out where he fits in the best. Along his travels, he meets toy soldiers, fairies, gingerbread girls and other “misfits” who teach him that good always wins over evil and that kindness counts.
The show stars students in the new Drama Club with kids in grades one through seven performing skits, songs and dance. The performance is on Saturday, January 30 at 2 p.m. in the gym at St. Mary School. Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at the door. Children under 5 are free.
St. Mary School is located at 24 Dodgingtown Rd., Bethel. For more information, call 203-744-2922, or visit www.stmarybethelct.org.
