Students and Staff 'Rockin' Well' to Billy Joel Song Wins School Award

The Bethel school won the 2015 Convocation Cup award which was created to generate excitement for the start of the school year.

Bethel Public Schools announced on their Facebook page Wednesday that Rockwell School has won an award for a fun video they created as part of a back to school contest.

“And the winner of the 2015 Convocation Cup is.......Rockwell School. The purpose of the Convocation Cup was to generate excitement for the start of the school year!” the public schools wrote.

The video features teachers and students “rockin’ well” to a version of Billy Joel’s We Didn’t Start the Fire. The students sang on the video:

“We’re rockin’ well at Rockwell, lunch is never burning, every page is turning. We’re rockin’ well at Rockwell, S.L.O. highlight it, lice we try to fight it.”

Dennis J. Arcano who posted the video wrote on his YouTube page: “Check out an epic, fun video featuring myself, the staff and students at Anna H. Rockwell School. That’s how you ROCK WELL y’all!!!”
