There's an App for That: First Selectman Announces User-Friendly Upgrades to Town's Website

A new mobile version of the Bethel town website is also available on the Apple App Store and on Google Play.

Bethel’s First Selectman Matthew Knickerbocker told Patch Tuesday that he is happy to announce new upgrades to the official Town of Bethel website.

New features include quick links such as an interactive knowledge-based Frequently Asked Questions section, online forms, links to often searched topics such as taxes and town codes and much more.

There is also a new page for social media and town meetings. Knickerbocker said webmaster Nick Cataldo, along with a team of town employees worked to create the upgrades.

“Each tab goes to different departments and gets added to the knowledge base. People can report a problem like a pothole and get an answer quickly,” Knickerbocker said.

“The really cool thing about it is that it makes it easier to use, find information and cuts out a lot of paperwork for town workers. It gives users the ablitiy to do much more inlin.” Knickerbocker told Patch.

A direct link now exists to help residents quickly sign up for the town’s voluntary emergency alert system.

A new mobile version is also available at the Apple App Store and Google Play. Residents are encouraged to explore the new functions and send feedback to the First Selectman’s office by emailingknickerbockerm@bethel-ct.gov.
