Town of Bethel Seeks Mechanic

BETHEL, CT — The town is seeking a full-time mechanic for its Highway Department.

The job comes with full benefits and pays $30.03 an hour depending on experience.

To perform skilled automotive mechanical work in the repair, overhaul, and maintenance of all trucks, Town vehicles, heavy and light equipment, and other mechanical equipment, as needed. Qualifications: A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the repair of cars, trucks and off-road equipment. Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagrammatic form. Certified National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master Technician and CDL required. Must possess required hand tools
