Two Steps Downtown Grille to Host Night of Music to Benefit Ability Beyond

On Saturday November 14th, Danbury restaurant, Two Steps Downtown Grille will be hosting Ability Beyond’s 3rd Annual “Families Rock” event from 7:00-11:00 pm. Ability Beyond is a leading nonprofit providing services and programs to nearly 3,000 individuals with disabilities in Connecticut and Westchester.

Two Steps Downtown Grille is generously donating 15% of all food and beverage sales during the 4 hour event to Ability Beyond. Admission is free, there will be raffles and the event is open to the public.

This annual event was created by Ability Beyond’s Family Committee, a group of family members that have loved ones being supported by the organization. The Family Committee will be providing a night of live entertainment in an effort to support the mission. Three local bands will be performing that night including The Jay Willie Band from Newtown, The Surf Bombs from Danbury and Good Medicine from Southbury. Jay Willie is an Ability Beyond parent of a young man receiving many supports and services, including residential.

All proceeds from “Families Rock” will go to Ability Beyond and support services for individuals with disabilities including residential alternatives, employment training, career counseling, job placement services, cognitive and life skills instruction, clinical and therapeutic support, and volunteer and recreational activities.
