Vocalist Noreen Mola Lights Up Bethel when she takes the stage with her quartet 7:00pm Thur July 20 Indoors at LaZingara Restaurant located at 8 P.T. Barnum Square in Bethel CT. The Noreen Mola Quartet, based in Fairfield County, is a straight-ahead jazz group featuring the veteran vocalist Noreen Mola. The quartet has frequently performed at Sarah’s Wine Bar in
Ridgefield and Cave A Vin in New Haven. Its members have performed separately or together in numerous venues in Western Connecticut and New York, including Luc’s in Ridgefield, Lucky Chou’s in New Haven, Jimmy’s, and Cleopatra’s Needle in NYC, Cafe Nine, Palace Theater,
Levitt Pavilion and many others. The quartet has also been featured as part of New Haven’s Jazz Week and the Ridgefield Jazz/Blues/Funk Weekend.
Noreen Mola - Vocalist Noreen has been performing on stages in New Haven, Westport, Stamford, Ridgefield, New Canaan, Newtown and Bethel since the early 2000’s. At ease with a
number of musical genres, her true love is jazz. As music critic Jim Motavalli described in his blog Territorial Imperatives.com, “as a straight-ahead, swinging interpreter of the Songbook, she’s as good as it gets.” And “a charismatic performer.”
Mola performed for 8 yrs.in the Jazz Manouche duo, Cafe Musette, followed by 7 yrs with the
Brian Butler Quartet and recently as the Noreen Mola Quartet along with
longtime musicians, Bill Lance, Eric van Laer and Dave Reynolds.

Bill Lance - Piano, Bill started performing music at age 13 as a bass player. He continued
studying, playing and performing in college at Florida State, while earning a math degree. For many years he performed all kinds of music on bass, from orchestral to jazz to bluegrass. After relocating to Conecticut he focused on piano, with some great teachers, Jon Raney,
David Hazeltine, Brian Pareschi, and Pete Malinverni. For the past six years he's been playing with Noreen Mola at numerous gigs throughout Fairfield County, as well as solo and duo piano gigs.

Eric Van Laer - Bassist, studied music at St Lawrence University and privately with Dr Lyn
Christie, Linc Chamberland and Michael Moore. Have played with the Norwalk Symphony, the RPM Band, The Waistcoat Rouge Jazz Band, The Bearcats, The Al DiMarco Duo, The Brian Butler Quartet, Cafe Musette, Vardology, and Swing du Jour in addition to freelancing extensively
throughout Fairfield, Westchester & New Haven Counties. Was the house bassist for 15 years at Ginny Avery's monthly jam sessions.

Dave Reynolds - Drums
Dave started gigging in clubs and concerts as a teenager in the 1970s around Fairfield and Westchester counties and went on to study drums, percussion and music at the Berklee College of Music and the University of Colorado. He has played drums on the stages of Café 9, Toad's Place,
the Palace Theater, the Phoenix Theater, Groove Club, The Rockwood Music Hall, The Live at 5 concert series, the Levitt Pavilion and many other venues
