Wear the World, Change the World

Serengetee, a clothing company, does more than make trendy clothes: They change lives one Serengetee at a time.

In this day and age, we need to be thankful for the lives we have been blessed with. We have roofs over our heads, heat in our houses, and clothing to wear each and every day. For many countries in this world, these bare necessities are non-existent. This is the magic of Serengetee. Founded by three college kids studying abroad, they traveled through 15 countries, meeting talented people who produced authentic, hand-made fabrics. They were in awe of their skills, but these people still barely made ends meet for their families. So, these college kids aspired to give back to these individuals, by creating clothing products that would support their talents. Aside from assisting these individuals, the fabrics empowers causes around the world. Currently, Serengetee supports 32 causes across the globe with these fabrics, ranging from woman weavers in Bali, reducing plastic pollution in oceans, to providing medical care to women in Ghana. This is what makes Serengetee unique. Each fabric supports a different cause in the world, and 5 percent of each purchase goes towards that cause. This is what inspired me to become a campus rep for this remarkable company. I have always wanted to change the world, and being a campus rep allows me to, and so can all of you! Each purchase impacts a life, and their is no greater satisfaction than knowing you are a part of it. Even though you may be buying one of Serengetee’s shirts, backpacks, or totes, not only are you wearing the world, you are changing the world.
